How To Make It In America~

So most that know me know that I RARELY watch television, I don't even have cable. Guess when I have free time, I would rather be painting, writing, reading, etcetera-etcera. Anyway, I WILL get cable slash HBO just for the 2nd Season of this show, yes it is that good (well great actually). When it first came out I was lucky to catch it from the premiering episode at a friends house, was hooked since then...and couldn't wait for it to come back. This show is nothing like what is on tv now a days(so I've heard eh). It's about two enterprising Brooklyn dudes hustling and bustling through NYC...chasing the American Dream. Although they're on the grind together, they have slightly different visions of just how to get where they want to be...making it one big non-stop adventure! Such an energetic show with a great musical soundtrack to go a long with it. Kid Cudi (as Domingo the well-connected friend) makes appearances as well as some other fresh faces. Be sure to watch, tell a friend, make it a weekly event or something. Enjoy the trailer...

CHROMEO

I had the pleasure of seeing one of my favorite bands this past weekend! Up close & personal - VIP - Front row! Dave 1 & P-Thugg damn near gave me a heart attack! These dudes put on a crazy amazing live show!

If you're not hip to CHROMEO, well here's a few samples:

Why be saddled with this thing called life expectancy? Of what relevance to an individual is such a statistic? Am I to concern myself with an allotment of days I never had, and  was never promised? Must I check off each day of my life as if I am subtracting from this imaginary hoard? No, on the contrary, I will add each day of my life to my treasure of days lived. And with each day, my treasure will grow...not didminish. ~ Brault

Illustrator of the day~

Melissa Forman has a very Victorian esque style to her paintings, so surreal almost as if they can pierce you with their eyes. Her work is amazing!

Feeling this. Phantogram is the real deal.

When you think you're on a fast track, most likely it's a slow track which in turn will make you back track to prevent you from riding the last track that might not ever come back. The analog road is always held in high regard.
